City centre location

The Training Foundry, part of Sheffield Hallam University, is based on level three of the Eric Mensforth building, a few minutes walk from tram stops and Sheffield train and bus stations.

Sheffield is one of the UK's largest cities, but is only a stone's throw away from the Pennines and the Peak District National Park. Main line road and rail networks link Sheffield with the rest of the country.

Transport links

Sheffield's motorway link is the M1, junctions 33 and 34. You are recommended to leave at junction 33 and proceed into the city centre by way of the Parkway (A630).

Regular inter-city services operate between Sheffield and other main line towns and cities. London is two-and-a-half hours away by train, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham one hour and Edinburgh four hours. Sheffield's train station is just a two minute walk away .

Car parking

Parking on campus is restricted, however there are several NCP and pay and display car parks nearby. Disabled visitors are advised to phone before visiting so suitable parking can be arranged.

Walking

From Sheaf Street - walk up the ramp and through the Sheffield Hallam University steel gates. Continue walking forward and up the stairs in front of you or take the small lift. Turn to the right and around the lift shaft and our entrance will be in front of you.

From the Sheffield Transport Interchange – walk along Pond Street with the bus station on your left hand side, cross over Harmer Lane and continue to walk along, as you pass under a walkway you will see some steps on your left hand side, continue up the second flight of steps and The Training Foundry is on your right hand side.

From Howard Street – at the bottom of Howard Street bear left and walk along Pond Street towards the Sheffield Transport Interchange. Continue to walk towards a walkway over the road. Just before the walkway on your
right hand side you will see some steps, continue up the second flight of steps and The Training Foundry is on your right hand side.
