The KeyPieces I presented focus on starting points and endpoints.
“Narrative vessel” contains many present concerns and inspirations, some of which are still undigested. It is a success and a failure, but both of these outcomes inspire me and provide direction. It suggests starting points for many possible future projects.
“Shibuichi bowl” is part of a series which resolved a dilemma of artist/researcher – the combination of “objective” research with creative practice. It is both testpiece and finished piece, an output and endpoint, crucial to current and future work.
